The challenges of working when disabled can make obtaining and maintaining employment difficult or even impossible. Australian antidiscrimination laws are in place to protect employees and job seekers with disabilities.
Presentations are flexible and align with the audience. The main focus is on the experience of disability in the workplace and the differences between employers who support the needs of individuals and those who have blanket policy relating to disability that are often overlooked or ignored by managers.
This initiative regards the workplace as a society. Many approaches to social impact measurement take a much broader view and risk working to a scale in which individuals become blended into totals or removed. This can lead to a lower level of impact across the target population. This initiative is scalable to any size workforce. I am about to embark on a Social Impact Hub fellowship.
